"Granddad's first house was 2 Appleby Terrace, St. Paul's Street,  which he bought about 1901.  In 1911 they were living in Church Street, Drypool.  The family then moved to Empringham Street but kept on the Drypool house.  Granddad Thomas must have been a very hard working and enterprising man.
